Theme! We get the opportunity to plan and customize fun themes for girls, and that is where the fun begins as we get to put unique touches on each event!
Barbie is a popular birthday themes with little girls for obvious reasons, the make up, fashion, and fantasy themes she includes and we love that we were given the opportunity to style a beauty themed event around the original Glamour Girl herself.
We planned a Barbie themed party for one of our local Houston girls in the colors of Pink and Black with 1 week to prepare! A big no no for event planners is to used copyright licensed characters as we do not have permission to do so, so our answer to that is to plan for a theme but use inspiration to execute the idea.
I used a Barbie inspired girl silhouette as my focus as well as high heel shoes, and purses as my common theme and set that against black and white stripes! I was thrilled with the final execution!
Guest activities included mini mani's, pedi's, make up application and crafts. The crafts were fashionable and fun as they made Barbie inspired fashion headbands, tinted lip gloss and beaded bracelets all while dancing to the latest tunes! After the beauty make overs the girls took fun photos set against a hot pink backdrop and used cool props!
