Glamorous Barbie Inspired Spa Party and Dessert Table I Glamour Avenue Parties

I had the opportunity to style a spa party and dessert table for a 6 year old's birthday party today. Our spa themes are one of our most popular themes and although you can only stray so far from the original formula, I like to incorporate fun colors and patterns where I can.

I love hosting and love it even more when the clients give me free creative reign to style as I choose. I have soo been wanting to do a Barbie inspired party and I wanted to touch on this theme a little bit with the color palette. My client requested pink, black and white, which gave me the flexibility to select any shade of the popular color. I opted for pale pink, with black and white stripes!




For the dessert table I wanted refreshments that were easy to grab as the girls would be moving through each station for their treatments. I had to make sure the refreshments would not require plates or flatware for them to juggle. I chose marshmallow pops, chocolate dipped pretzels, popcorn, starbursts and pudding topped with whipped cream. For the drinks I served pink lemonade out of bottles rather than wine glasses; which the girls kept asking if they could keep!
